Hakimaki: From idea to object

Hakimaki will show how they work from idea to object when making inventions and set pieces in the intersection of design, art and technology.

To illustrate their process they will talk about the making of the Volkswagen office chair, an electric vehicle that goes 19 kmh with a 12 km range. They will also speak about the making of a marble computer for a Paris museum.

Hakimaki is the design studio / workshop of Martin Gautron and Stian Korntved Ruud undertaking projects from concept to reality. With a process-oriented methodology they make custom objects, installations, machines, models and prototypes for museums, cineasts, architects, and researchers to bring ideas to life.
